I’ve added some new things to my etsy and folksy shops. All listings still only a pound.

A new chair
Not long after Iris was born my granma gave me an old chair which she’d found in a charity shop and kept at her house for my nephew. He’s eight now and has outgrown the chair so she gave it to us. It looks like it may have been a college or school project – someone has written their name and the year (1974) underneath. It was a wee bit tatty but sturdy enough and the perfect size for a toddler. Last Summer I finally got around to fixing it up a bit. I sanded and painted and sanded and sanded and painted and then….nothing. This weekend we brought it back up from the cellar where it had been ‘drying’ for the past 7 months. We cut some foam to size to make it a bit more comfy and I raked through my suitcase of fabric for something appropriate.
Two hours of bickering with my husband later and it’s finished. It’s by no means perfect but Iris was very pleased when she saw it this morning and pronounced it a ‘very nice chair’
I hope whoever made it back in the 70′s got a good mark for it.
Free printables on pinterest
I’ve found a bunch of free printables via pinterest the past month. Heaps of tags for Christmas, thank you cards and most recently calendars. I’m always amazed at people giving away their work for free and it’s good stuff too. Here’s a couple of my favourite calendars:
I don’t have quite enough decent quality card on hand to print this one but I’ll be printing an owl one out for the hallway when I do:
