Latest Folksy purchases

Friday, February 26th, 2010

I’ve treated myself recently to some pretties from Folksy.  First up was a lovely wee pair of earrings from Jillyflower. They are really pretty and I haven’t had them off since I bought them.

For Valentine’s Day the other half bought me a fancy smartphone. I am notoriously bad at looking after gadgets (my last phone died after I spilled gripe water on it) so I thought it best to invest in a pouch for it. A search on Folksy turned up loads of phone pouches but I eventually decide on a padded case with flap fastening from Pip Designs. I also bought a wristlet because it had robots on it.  Both are very well made and I am most pleased with them.

I’m also going to mention some Christmas Cards I bought from Konnie Kapow. They’re obviously not a recent purchase but I only just discovered that the dynamic duo are Glasgow based. Shopping handmade and shopping local – result!

Even better they are now stocked at the Made In The Shade Maisonette which is only a short hoof up the road from me.
